As a Benefit Corporation and a certified BCorp, our aspiration is to be a generative rather than extractive company. We hold the belief that our duty is to contribute more to society than we take from it. Therefore, we aim to generate profits while channeling them into crafting and disseminating a business model that pursues the well-being and happiness of individuals.
Benefit Society
The Benefit Corporation is a legal form of business introduced in the Italian legal system in 2015 (the first national state in the world), representing an evolution of the very concept of a company. While traditional corporations exist with the sole purpose of distributing dividends to shareholders, Benefit Corporations integrate into their corporate purpose, in addition to profit, the objective of making a positive impact on society and the Earth. This is not about "Social Enterprises" or an evolution of non-profit entities, but rather a positive transformation of the for-profit business model that embodies the transition from shareholder capitalism to stakeholder capitalism.
BCorp® certified
BCorp® is a global movement that to date has more than 7,000 companies operating in 161 sectors and from 91 countries (data July 2023). BCorp®s are companies that have chosen to use their business as a positive force for change in society and that, looking beyond profit, have reprioritized their actions by putting people's well-being, social cohesion and the regeneration of natural systems at the center. Instead of "the best in the world," BCorp®s have the ambition to be "the best for the world."
Cambia Mente ETS Association
On 30 October 2019, we founded the Cambia Mente Ets Association (a name meaning "change your mind" in Italian). This non-profit organization is the vehicle through which Tirelli & Partners srl, a benefit corporation, operationally pursues its goals, working towards the common good and striving to have a positive impact on the environment, society and the community, as indicated in the mission statement.
